Fare Natura – Moorea Museum

Fare Natura is dedicated to knowledge of the island, its natural environment, and its scientific history. It is a reference point for understanding Moorea beyond its landscapes. The museum presents exhibitions on terrestrial and marine biodiversity, lagoon ecosystems, coral reefs, and local fauna and flora. The content is based on accessible scientific data from research conducted in Moorea and French Polynesia. Fare Natura also addresses the evolution of the island, the interactions between humans and their environment, and current issues related to the preservation of natural environments. The exhibitions are designed to be educational and understandable to all audiences. The center welcomes individual visitors, families, schoolchildren, and groups. It plays a central role in disseminating scientific knowledge in Moorea and raising environmental awareness. Fare Natura is a unique space in Moorea. It is the only real museum on the island dedicated to understanding its territory, its natural environments, and their fragility.
